· Assembly of the operating room ensuring that all supplies, equipment and medicines are available to the surgical team before the start of the procedure; · Assist the nurse in the checklist of safe surgery with team members, promoting a safe environment; · Anticipate the surgeon's requests, as I know the procedures, materials used and wires, thus providing the clamps precisely when requested. If necessary, retracting tissues with retractors and cutting threads during sutures. At the end of the surgical procedure, I perform asepsis of the operated site and its due dressing. · Counting of instruments, sharps, gauze and compresses with the room nurse; · Disposal of sharps and other waste in their proper boxes; · Assistance in the rotation of the operating room, helping with cleaning, replenishment and stock of materials for the next surgeries;--
