Dishonest -

commentI have dealt with this company as well but I was not happy with the way I was treated. If you are not able to place someone with your client, just say that rather than making empty promises. Your company's reputation is at stake here and though you may not think you've done wrong momentarily, nemesis does catch up at some point. I do have a family to feed and after months of searching for jobs, I was happy to come into contact with your company. However after sending my credentials and making numerous phone calls to your office, I never received any call back, not even to update me on the job search. I wasted my time telling you about my circumstances not knowing you were leading me on. Honesty is a good virtue, perhaps you need to add that to your company's code of conduct.

commentI worked with this same recruiter (Beth Sitera), and she was able to obtain a new H1B visa for me and I had an over all great experience. I feel everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I have worked with many other agencies and would recommend Smith Hanley over all others.

commentI had a simialar experience with this company. They appear to recruit a lot of rude young girls to handle their HR matters. [Name Removed]is clearly an inexperienced girl who should not have been allowed to handle delicate matters like employment. It's sad to see that she has been given the power to screen applications only to then screw people over. When I spoke to her in 2008, she could not even understand what my qualifications were about, she was that ignorant. How could you be so ignorant and be allowed to recruit people who know more than you. She reassured me that Smith Hanley Consulting would pay for my H1-B visa including relocation allowance but they never called me again after the first day. The company is a complete shambles. Stay away from them. Run !!!

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY SMITH HANLEY CONSULTING'S (LAKE MARY, FLORIDA) PROMISE OF AN H1-B VISA, IT'S A LIE !!! -

commentI received a call from one of the recruiters from smith hanley [Name Removed] in Sept 2009 after applying for a job. She called my phone within 10 minutes of submitting my resume and did say their company had H1-B visas left. She then went on to apply for about 3 jobs on my behalf and promised to apply for my visa. 4 weeks later and there was still no response from her. I called her office numerous times for an update on my applications but got no response, despite her colleagues confirming her presence in the office. My call was sent to her voice-mail on each occasion. The situation became so frustrating for me that my wife had to call her office as well for an update. She never returned my calls or gave any feedback on the job applications made to 3 different companies. As a last ditch attempt, I sent another email to her for an update followed by another phone call but this lady remained elusive. If she had been honest from the outset by saying they could not sponsor H1-B , then I would not have bothered, instead she reassured me and gave false hopes and then went into hiding all of a sudden. She simply saved my resume on their database and closed the case. I would not advise you to do any business with Smith Hanley consulting (Lake Mary Florida) due to their dubious ways. They promise H1-B visa plus relocation allowance on their website but it's all a SCAM !!!! Stay away from them, especially Beth Sitera. Good luck.
