commentI'm a foreign employee currently working for CDM. Overall, it's a great company to work for: good reputation in industry, steadily increased revenue, strong technical expertise, and plenty of training opportunities, etc. However, to those who will need the company sponsorship for Green Card need to think twice before joining. CDM won't consider (unless you are supper excellent, I suppose) to sponsor you until right before your H1B visa expires which put you at great risk of losing the working status here and having to deal with all the trouble whenever you enters the US. Of all the foreign employees who I know of within CDM, only one person got sponsored after serving the company for five years! The rest either found other ways to get green card or left the company. From what I heard, pretty much all our competitor companies start the GC application process one year after the hiring. I probably would have not accepted the offer from CDM if I knew this information earlier. I take strong ownership of my work here, but five years seems too long to wait without any commitment.

commentI work for this company. they do everything according to the law, there are no shortcuts nor are there any false information provided as some other companies do, this often results in delayed processing time and added costs for the company, but the company is very careful in hiring the right candidate for the job, and they spend the money to complete all the process to make sure that the candidate stays employed and is legal in the US. This is a great company with enormous importance on ethics and honesty, they dont deny your application for job because of your visa status, they only look to see if you are the right candidate for the job in terms of skills, and if you are, then you get the job and they take care of the rest.
This is the reason their visas are never rejected, you may see that 2 cases were rejected but that in 2001 and those were odd cases, but the company did everything to retain those employees and they are still employed at the company. It sure did cost the company a lot of money, but the company paid for it all, and did not make the employee pay for it, as it is illegal to do so.
