Highlights:Design of a top tension riser October 2018 – December 2018 • Analyzed given input conditions to determine the size of a drill-ship riser components. • Integrated numerical computation on a Microsoft excel stack up spreadsheet. Calculated the available tension, hanging weight, bending moment and drag force using Mathcad. • Determined the top tension and Von-mises stress using the Deep-riser. Compared the values with the allowable stress. • Deduced the Modal and Fatigue analysis based on the wave and current loadings. Vibration analysis of a wind turbine September 2015 – June 2016 • Conducted a free vibration analysis of a coupled hub and shaft of a Siemens wind turbine • Adopted sub-structuring technique for the dynamic simulation of the complex finite element model. This increased accuracy of the results by 40% and reduced computational time. • Developed an eigenvalue solution using Mat-lab and predicted areas most susceptible to failure through careful observation of the maximum and minimum displacement.
