Marketing Intern 09/2024 - 12/2024
Amedea Pharma, Westbury, New York United States
Amedea Pharma offered me a marketing internship from August 2024 until December 2024. The company is based in New York, therefore this was a remote role that required frequent Zoom calls with my CEO and the marketing intern team. As a 360-degree marketing experience, my main tasks included handling various marketing aspects such as promoting social media posts, especially on LinkedIn, as well as promoting the CEO's podcast. I was also responsible for analyzing the existing CRM system and creating video content.
Starting in September 2024, I was assigned the task of marketing and elevating Amedea's Ancora App, an innovative tool designed to showcase important metrics related to patient outcomes for medical affairs investors. The app uses a unique DeepMetrics method that integrates sports and data science into business to clarify purpose, progress, and reward. This experience allowed me to gain hands-on knowledge of the app’s features, its relevance in the pharmaceutical market, and how its features could help elevate a product to attract potential investors.
The Ancora App was first presented to investors during the Medical Affairs Innovation Olympics, a two-week-long event in October 2024 that I actively participated in, which featured global innovators in the healthcare industry. This event provided another opportunity for me to sponsor the event through social media, while also creating content, including a blog article I wrote based on one of the guest speakers, which was later published. Overall, my experience at Amedea Pharma was incredibly enriching, providing me with valuable professional insights and hands-on knowledge that have significantly shaped my skills and career aspirations.--
Student Worker 08/2022 - 05/2024
Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois United States
Industry: English and Languages Department
At Lake Forest College, I worked as a content creator for the English and Modern Languages Department starting in August 2022.
Working with the department was a great mutual fit, as I often had to communicate with professors in English, Spanish and sometimes French. My responsibilities included designing promotional materials for events like Halloween get-togethers, community thank-you parties, and other gatherings. I used tools like Canva and PowerPoint to create flyers, secure department approvals, handle the printing aspect and distribute materials across campus. This role allowed me to engage with the department creatively while fostering community involvement.--
Sales and Marketing Intern 08.2022 - current
UNI Student Advisors, Milan, Italy
As College Counselor Marketing Intern at UNI Student Advisors, a global company with offices in Milan, New York, London, and Riyadh, I have gained extensive experience in marketing, sales, and content creation.
As a College Counselor Marketing Intern at UNI Student Advisors, a global company with offices in Milan, New York, London, and Riyadh, I have gained extensive experience in marketing, sales, and content creation since landing the position in August 2022. This has been a remote role, allowing me to collaborate with a diverse range of key stakeholders, including the CEO, Head of Marketing, ambassadors, students, clients, and potential employees.
In this role, I have frequently worked with data, learning how to use it to benefit the company. One of my most significant experiences has been becoming proficient with CRM software, BIGIN, which I used to help transition the company from manually handling the emails outreach and responses (a task I personally managed from August 2022 until the transition at the end of 2023) to efficiently organizing contact databases, email templates, pipelines, and tracking quote stages with the new CRM. This hands-on experience has been essential in developing my management and organizational skills. Moreover, I was tasked with launching and managing the company’s TikTok account, @uni.studentadvisors, from scratch. Acting as both video editor and team leader for 10 ambassadors, I organized content showcasing students’ experiences with financial aid, college life, and studying abroad. Alongside creating videos (both in English and Italian ), I wrote engaging captions tailored to each post to ensure relevance and attract our target audience. I created a detailed content calendar in Excel to schedule posts and maintain consistency. A highlight of this role was seeing one of my videos surpass 7,000 views, which reinforced my passion for creating impactful, inspiring content.
Another key accomplishment was conducting a SWOT analysis in October 2023, focusing on both our business and customer outcomes. This analysis involved extensive research on our competitors, particularly examining their digital investments, including social media strategies, website SEO, partnerships, pricing, and long-term goals. By evaluating this data, I was able to assess our company’s positioning and develop strategies to address threats while highlighting our strengths. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of accurate research and data-driven decision-making in sales and business development.--
