This degree focuses on the context within which social problems arise and included an in-depth examination of social issues and the ways in which these issues are addressed. These studies equipped me with key skills required for working in the social welfare sector. The programme investigates social care provision in areas such as community development, child protection and mental health and also offered the opportunity to gain valuable placement experience in a relevant agency.
