Career Level: Experienced

Highlights:Started as a Project Engineer constructing a mixed structure bridge, made of steel and concrete over railway in a very busy train station in France. The construction of this bridge was a technical and organisation challenge as the train station had to remain operational during the construction phase. I take pride on managing this project and being able to deliver it on time on schedule and on budget (1,5M€). Then I moved to Project Engineer on a train station project building from scratch to replace the old demolished one. For the same reason that before, the organisation challenge lied within the need to keep the train station running while doing the construction works. It required consistent level of communication and coordination with the client (the railway company SNCF) to ensure safe paths for the rail users at all time and efficient working methods to meet the defined schedule and ensuring a high quality delivery. The technical challenge was mainly in the definition of working methods and in the very particular roofing made of ETFE cushions, inflated with air. Lightweight and architectural roofing that require special considerations in case of pressure drop. The phenomemon of waterponding on this roofing had been analysed very thoroughly to avoid failure of the supporting structure (made of steel columns timber branches). Again, I managed to deliver this project on time and respecting the initial budget (11M€). I pursued my career in the energy sector as Technical Lead for Main Civil Works in the HPC project (2 nuclear power plant EPR, the biggest project in Europe so far). In this position, I had to define the technical specifications for the Main Civil Works contract that includes all the concrete works, steelworks and all other items that needed to be part of this contract. I ensure the contract management as well as the follow-up of the manufacturing activities that involved mainly concrete and steel manufacturing (batching and sourcing for aggregates, steel productions and processes for both carbon and stainless steel, welding activities and coating activities). I delivered the work packages with the Main Civil Contract as per the schedule defined by the client. Currently, I am still in the HPC project but I moved to the site where I am the Lead of Steelwork Design Team in the Nuclear Island. My team, composed of 8 Engineers, is in charge of the design of steelwork structures in multiple buildings, we ensure the technical coordination with the other disciplines (Equipment, Electrical, Piping, HVAC) and we address the site queries coming from the contractors who need our help resolving design related issues or provide design assessment on new working methods, aiming at making the delivery more efficient and saving time on the construction schedule.

Goal:As Civil Engineer, I take pride in participating in projects that benefit the society such as infrastructure and energy production projects. I see myself in the near future directing construction programmes as I am convinced of the need for such projects to come to light for the greater good. I use my passion for detail, my complete focus on the end objective and my relentless energy to close deals and make projects move forward up to the delivery on time on quality and on budget
