as WATHAB (water and habitat) engineer based in jigjiga sub-delegation,Ethiopia my duties and responsibilities was : Making assessment regarding water resource availability in villages and districts existed scarcity of water due to internal conflict. • Maintaining water points and deep bore holes in several villages in Somali region • Preparing design and tender documents for construction project. • Carrying out supervision and evaluation works in drilling projects, water supply projects and building construction projects. • Experience in planning and implementing temporary, transitional and permanent shelter projects in response to emergency or natural disasters; • Designing accommodation or community facilities to meet specific community or cultural requirements needs, utilizing local materials and labor; • Procuring services and managing local architectural & building contractors; • Proven experience in the design and implementation of water projects including vector control, plumbing, solid and liquid waste management. Experience is also included in program management and coordination, assessment and design and implementation of water projects; • assess and develop safe water and appropriate sanitation options; and • Experience in the application of hygiene promotion methodologies--
