| | Biography: | Ms. Khalid graduated from the University of Michigan in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in English and Sociology and a concentration in Criminology, Law, and Deviance. Prior to law school, Ms. Khalid worked as a Paralegal at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP in New York, where she represented multi-national corporations in business immigration matters. In 2009, Ms. Khalid earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in International Law from Pace University School of Law in New York. While in law school, Ms. Khalid gained litigation experience as a Student Attorney at John Jay Legal Services, Inc., Immigration Justice Clinic, where she represented indigent immigrants in complex removal proceedings, including immigration raid detainees, women with claims under the Violence Against Women Act, and asylees seeking immigration relief in the United States. Ms. Khalid also served as a Law Clerk at prestigious law firms where she handled both family-based and business immigration clients.
