Matthew Kappel is an outstanding choice when you need an attorney. He is worth every penny. I have hired Mr. Kappel numerous times and so has my family. Each time he was able to provide an amazing outcome. After being retained- he handled every detail. I did not have to worry about a thing. Communication was great- his office staff on stand by any time I needed anything or needed to reach him. Mr. Kappel made sure to go over all details for each case I have used him for. He went above and beyond to make sure the outcome was fair and in my best interest. Mr. Kappel has represented me personally during 3 criminal cases, a lawsuit (where we were suing the other party), and family court for a divorce. As for my family- he handled another criminal case and a DUI. Never once did Mr. Kappel let us down- he exceeded expectations. If you want an attorney that will fight for you, cover every detail, go the extra mile, and make sure your case is strong- then you need Matthew Kappel. Also- each of those cases mentioned above had an amazing/ positive outcome- better then expected. So if anything- I have Mr. Kappel to thank for helping me get through it all. Never once have I second guessed my choice for an attorney, never once regretted the money spent. I will go to Mr. Kappel in the future if I ever need an attorney or legal advise.

Mr. Kappell represented me for a DUI a few years ago. Over the course of several months I would check in with Mr. Kappell's office and he would NEVER get back to me. When my court date came, he had his pretrial conference with me while he got dressed. He never reviewed discovery (the tape of me being arrested) with me before we saw it in court, though he had promised that he would watch it with me well before my court date. I honestly do not think he watched it himself ahead of time. At court the DA offered me a deal, that was only on the table right then. I said I wanted to take it, but Mr. Kappell said I couldn't because he had a conflicting appointment in another court across town and could not stay with me to finish things. He arranged for us to come back later that same afternoon, but my deal was much worse and I had to pay several hundred dollars more. After it was all over, Mr. Kappell decided to give me some lecture in the parking lot about learning a lesson from my DUI. While I have always deeply regretted my DUI, I also deeply regret hiring Mr. Kappell. I feel strongly that I wasted my $3000 on a lawyer who was unequipped to and ultimately uninterested in providing me with reasonable legal representation. Had I had more life experience at the time this transpired, I would have filed a grievance with the state bar. If you care at all about your case, please do not hire Mr. Kappell.
