| | Biography: | Lauren DeBellis Aviv has extensive experience representing employment and family-based immigration cases, with a focus on obtaining visas for foreign nationals of extraordinary ability. She also has experience litigating complex removal matters. Before practicing immigration law, Lauren worked at The Legal Aid Society's Criminal Defense Division in Manhattan which provided her with the unique skills and background to advise non-citizens and criminal defense attorneys regarding the intersection between criminal and immigration law. Lauren is committed to pro bono work and from 2008 to 2011 served as the Co-Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's ("AILA") NY Chapter's Pro Bono Committee. She also served as a liaison on AILA's National Pro Bono Committee.
