Biography:Anthony Monioudis leads the Immigration practice area at Woods Rogers and is also a member of the Litigation practice group. Anthony handles matters involving or related to immigration law whether applicable to a business, an individual, or both. Anthony is also an experienced litigator who has handled more than 100 jury and nonjury trials, and numerous arbitrations and countless mediations in state and federal courts. Specific to immigration matters, Anthony provides insight and advice on visa options and naturalization, the processes, costs and timetables involved as well as difficulties or complications that unique circumstances may create. He prepares and/or secures documentation required by different agencies including, but not limited to: United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS); National Visa Center (NVC); Department of Labor (DOL); and Department of State (DOS). He counsels and offers guidance with regard to proper document retention criteria and the handling of audit investigations by DOL and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His litigated matters are predominantly civil consisting of personal injury, wrongful death, commercial disputes, breach of contract matters, noncompetes, interpleaders, property damage matters, and declaratory judgments. Anthony is well-versed with regard to drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions and discovery matters. Twice Anthony's cases advocated for and made new law in Virginia and another resulted in the revival of a legal doctrine that had fallen out of favor. •Holmes v.
