PwC is a global network of firms that offer audit, tax and advisory services to clients who are global multinationals and conglomerates. As a senior associate, I led several teams of IS auditors to provide IT audit and project management support for my clients. I headed the group function across all 10 operating countries to provide Corporate Governance, Compliance, Risk Management and Audit services.
In this role, I was responsible for the corporate governance of the group in 10 countries across West, East and Central Africa regularly interfacing with the Group’s board of directors to ensure proper reporting and formation of the country governance structure. I was responsible for drafting and enforcement of corporate policies such as Anti Bribery and Corruption (ABC), Risk Management, Human Rights in the Workplace Policy, Data Use & Privacy and so on in the group that affect different areas of business in all operating locations. I was also in charge of all joint ventures between the group and international third parties seeking collaboration in the African FM space. Before this I headed a department to conduct forensic investigations and carry out regular and schedule audits on all the business units of the Company in line with ISO 9001-2015, COSO framework and company policies. I also attend senior management governance meetings to provide updates on the effectiveness of control around potential risk areas of business. I leveraged on my knowledge of data analytics and reporting to present a dashboard for all audit exceptions as well as impact during post audit closeout meetings. Some other responsibilities include fraud investigation, fraud risk assessment, risk management, process control review, corporate governance, ethics management, legal and regulatory compliance.--
