Currently working as health and safety officer at my home country, in an economic group called Grupo Disco Uruguay (GDU) in the retail business, that has over 7000 employees across 4 different companies under the same economic group. I’m currently in charge of the direction of the health and safety service of the 5 distribution centers my company has, 2 of the biggest hypermarkets on the company (Géant) and a small chain of 34 express supermarkets (Devoto Express) that’s roughly almost half of the company’s workforce in employees numbers, and more than 40% of the companies buildings.
Some of my responsabilities: -Worplace accidents investigations and reports. -Data Analysis of workplace accidents within the different quarters of the year, semesters and yearly data analysis. -Set goals depending on the results of the yearly data analyisis. -Identify and Evaluate risks at workplace, plan and execute mitigation measures. -Representation of the company before government entities. -Representation of the company in meetings with the different unions of the company.--
