Karowe Diamond Mine Underground Project Participated in the initiation stage of preparation for the mine to transition from an open-pit to underground. Upon completion my final year thesis was based on this project ,titled; "Analyzing geotechnical parameters for designing a spiral decline for Karowe Diamond Mine,Botswana"
Assist in evaluating pit slope stability, focusing on rock mass characterization involving objective-driven geotechnical, structural geology, and hydrogeological investigation and data collection. Conducted geotechnical Scanline mapping to identify areas of instability to assist in slope stability risk management. Performed hydrogeological assessments, dewatering, groundwater modelling and groundwater geochemistry. Project knowledge management-data entry of geotechnical findings, perform appropriate findings and prepare reports. Conducted geological modeling of ore bodies using Surpac and RocScience softwares Provided technical support to mining operations, including conducting geological mapping, sampling, drilling programs corelogging and assisted in sample testing (point load test, density and permeability test. Conducted regular field visits to monitor progress and identify any issues or concerns personal hygiene and work safety--
