Highlights:Presently, I am a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs, University of South Africa (UNISA). I have extensive experience in qualitative research studies. My background in psychology and education added to my interest in holistic healthcare. I am one of the leading members of the Afri-VIPE project focusing on providing virtual healthcare students, from multiple universities, with interprofessional orientation and virtual training experience. I have completed research on Health Sciences with an interest in Health Professions Education. My focus area is on Interprofessional Education (IPE) where I have published data, presented at conferences and contributed to research findings through different networks. I have two papers published in the Journal of Taibah University Medical Sciences. As a PR and Communications coordinator for AfrIPEN, I successfully handled the generation and dissemination of media content whilst directing my team in boosting the global AfrIPEN presence. My experience as a research facilitator at the North-West University supported innovative research strategies and project development. During my tenure as an educator, I provided students with exceptional guidance and support that played a direct role in enhancing their formal achievements. I supervised students, challenged their thinking, and generated innovative ways in completing tasks. As a sales representative, I exceeded my monthly sales targets, identifying market opportunities, and completed administrative duties. I am self-motivated, and determined, exert continuous personal development in all aspects, and am willing to learn new skills. I possess a committed and hard-working nature allowing my objectives to be met timeously. In situations that call for action, I use logical and creative thinking to find solutions. Goal:My research interests lie within the Health Sciences field with a special focus on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP). I have successfully graduated with my PhD in 2022 and my research title was, developing an interprofessional education programme for a health science faculty. I intend to pursue research in the field of IPECP further because much progress is required especially in terms of optimal healthcare and Interprofessional Education (IPE). As a research facilitator and Ph.D. graduate of the Centre for Health Professions Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, North-West University, I have experience in research, support, planning, organizing, and executing tasks on an individual and team level. My PhD research focused on IPE in the South African context and, I hold a Master’s in Health Sciences with Health Professions Education. Additionally, I possess an Honours in Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and BA in Psychology and Tourism Management. I am involved in several international groups supporting the development of health education such as Interprofessional.Global, Africa Virtual Interprofessional Education (Afri-VIPE) and Africa Interprofessional Education Network (AfrIPEN). I took part in the AfrIPEN conference held in Kenya in 2019 and the AfIHC conference held in 2021, where I associated with various global delegates in the health field. I had presented my work at the NWU CTL 2021 conference. My desire and willingness to work in environments that serve humanitarian causes has been a driving force, especially in terms of identifying problems, conducting research and determining scientific solutions thereof. I’ve found I work best in a collaborative environment, so I look forward to working in an environment that offers the opportunity to exercise my knowledge, skills and values. I take great pride in my work and carry out my roles and responsibilities diligently. I have dedicated most of my post-secondary years to health education and research. Continuation my with studies and achieving multiple qualifications at a tender age shows determination, perseverance, will power and demonstrates long-term commitment. I am dedicated to personal development and acquiring new knowledge and skills. I believe I can adapt easily to new environments.
