Maintains, repairs and evaluates mechanical, electrical/electronic and structural systems on all the Terminal’s Heavy-duty Container Handling Equipment.
Work regular 16-hour shifts. • Work at heights above 120ft. • Carryout regular service checks and inspection on various mobile crane, stacker, trucks, forklift, and chassis. • Complete PM and CW on various mobile crane, stacker, trucks, forklift, and chassis. • Write reports for corrective and preventive maintenance work done on heavy duty equipment. • Work with Mobile crane response team when personnel are unavailable. • Retrieve crash machines on port. • Rehabilitate crash machine and put them back into service. • Remove and Install diesel engines, transmission, generator, starters and alternator in various heavy-duty equipment and mobile cranes. • Reprogram PLC, inverter drive and other microprocessors. • Work along with operation department to operate heavy duty equipment and mobile crane when needed. • Assist to secure port equipment and property in times of natural disasters. • Remove and install wire ropes on mobile cranes. • Trouble electrical components on heavy duty equipment’s and mobile cranes • Reprogram and modify equipment to suit port operation needs. • Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatics systems on various port equipment and mobile cranes. • Assist operation department to remove damaged containers. • Work alongside overseas technician on project done on port equipment. • Assist to assemble new mobile cranes, trucks, stacker and other port equipment.--
