First of all, I did not reach out to Jackson Therapy but instead received a phone call this morning asking if I was still seeking a position. The first guy that I talked to was nice enough on the phone, but I could hear his tone completely change when he heard that I did not have my CCCs yet (I just finished graduate school). The second guy that I was transfered to was short with me and did not understand the situation at all and thought that I was seeking out an SLPA position. Whenever I informed him that I was looking for a CF position, he quickly spouted out, "We only place people with their CCCs," and hung up without so much as a goodbye, or sorry for taking up your time.

I completely understand that they might not place SLPs without their CCCs, but that situation could have been handled very differently. In the future, I will never seek out Jackson therapy and they will never be referred to any of my peers.

Initially, Jackson Therapy Partners seemed like a good company to build my resume as a traveling therapist. The recruiter called me and gave a bubbly script of what the company is all about. Within fifteen minutes of the phone interview, the recruiter tried to persuade me to go to another city or area to work with another population. When I held my ground and refused, he was like, okay, I can't help you, but I'll call you, and click, he hung up the phone. Most of the traveling therapy companies are all alike-bad, but Jackson Therapy Partners gets the thumbs-down from me. I hope I never hear from them again.
