As the Assistant Project Engineer for this project, I was the principal assistant for the day-to-day supervision of works on site. I was in permanent contact with the Consultant and liaise with the Client on any site related issues. My main tasks were: • Ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the specifications, conditions of contracts and bills of quantities. • Responsible for site safety, health and hygiene • Close liaison with the local communities • Carrying out monthly (or otherwise agreed) measurements of works for submission to the Project Director and Client. • To hold regular site meetings as required • To prepare regular reports on the progress of works. • In a general manner, to provide assistance in conducting a large part of all the activities under this project. • To carry out short term inputs during the defects liability period--
