Highlights:Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing victim and witness support services, promoting officer well-being, and advocating for social change. Notably, I assisted in the development of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various crime case types, ensuring consistent and effective support for victims and witnesses. These SOPs streamlined processes and provided valuable guidance to fellow support officers, enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction. Additionally, I took the initiative to create robust case management documents that facilitated efficient tracking and management of cases, optimizing workflow and organizational efficiency within the Victim and Witness Support Unit. As a vital member of the clinical team responsible for the wellness of support officers, I played a pivotal role in implementing strategies to promote mental health and resilience. Through training, counseling, and fostering a supportive environment, I contributed to the overall well-being and effectiveness of our team, ensuring we could continue to provide high-quality support to those in need. Outside of my direct role, within the community, I am proud to have collaborated with UN Women and the Rotary group of Sangre Grande to lead programs in rural communities aimed at combating gender-based violence. These initiatives empowered individuals with knowledge, resources, and support networks to challenge harmful norms and promote gender equality and safety. Furthermore, I contributed to the development of general policing courses for the Police Training Academy, designed to enhance the skills and professionalism of law enforcement officers across the Caribbean region. By sharing expertise and best practices, I played a role in strengthening law enforcement capabilities and fostering safer communities. Overall, my diverse experiences reflect my passion for social justice, community empowerment, and professional development. I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others and am eager to continue driving positive change in my future endeavors.
