Investigation into the use of a novel III-V material system composed of indium antimonide (InSb) quantum wells as a means of realising efficient semiconductor laser diodes in the mid-infrared wavelength range. I was instrumental in developing the devices from being non-operational, into lasers which were delivered to an end user.
