Teacher III 07/2002 - 06/2018
Department of Education, Tubao, La Union Philippines
Industry: Education
I worked at the Department of Education, Sta.Teresa National High School, Tubao, La Union, for 16 years as Teacher III from July 2002 to June 2018.
With a total of 16 years of experience in teaching Mathematics and Science, the journey is not easy yet rewarding. It is not easy because of the work responsibilities such as preparing of engaging lessons for the students, assessing their progress, and giving of feedbacks to their parents. Being a teacher is also rewarding, Seeing them learn each topic day after day. Comparing the result of the diagnostic test to that of the achievement test where they have learned something is a day to day achievement. Adding to the bigger picture of rewards is seeing the students become what they want to become in life.--
Science Teacher 06/2000 - 06/2002
Saint Louis College, San Fernando City, La Union Philippines
Industry: Education
I taught Science for Grade 7 students for two years from June 2000 to June 2002 at Saint Louis College, San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines.
As a science teacher, I have to supervise laboratory sessions of the students where they work on an activity. After the laboratory session, we discuss the results of the activity. I have to satisfy the curious minds of the students and help them find answers to some of their questions, let the explain some natural phenomenon, and express what they have learned from the activity. Being a science teacher, it is challenging because I have to keep abreast of what is going on around me and be ready to explain to the students should they have questions.--
Math Teacher 06/1996 - 03/1999
Agoo Academy, Agoo, La Union Philippines
Industry: Education
I taught as a mathematics teacher for almost 3 years from June 1996 to March 1999 at Agoo Academy,Agoo, La Union.
This is a small private school where students are heterogeneous. As a teacher, I have to cater to both the fast learners and the slow learners. I have to conduct remedial classes for those who fall behind so they can catch up with the next lessons. I also give them small group discussion where the fast learners act as little teachers in the group.--

Congress College, Agoo, La Union Philippines
Industry: Education
I was hired as a Mathematics teacher at Congress College, Agoo, La Union from June 1994 to March 1996.
This is a small private school which accepts students expelled from other schools, back to school students, and students with special needs. Each class is inclusive so as a teacher, I have to address the specific needs of students. There are fast learners, slow learners, back to school students, and there are also those who are only completing their high school just to get promotion in their jobs. It is quite challenging for a young teacher but very rewarding.--
