High School Teacher 02/2011 - 06/2020
Punjab School Education Board, Moga, Punjab India
Industry: Education
From February 2011 to June 2020, I served as a high school teacher for grades 6 to 10 at the Punjab School Education Board, teaching English and Social Studies. I was a full-time teacher. I left this position due to my decision to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker
During my time from February 2011 to June 2020 as a high school teacher at the Punjab School Education Board, I worked in government schools, mainly in remote areas. Most of my students came from families with limited money. Alongside teaching English and social studies, I made sure every student had what they needed to learn, especially in places where resources were scarce.
I also had students with special needs in my class. I made sure they got the help they needed to learn alongside everyone else. It was important to me that every student felt included and supported.
Being in remote areas meant I had to speak up for my students' right to a good education. I worked with the school, parents, and the community to make sure every student, no matter their background or abilities, had the chance to learn and grow.
Seeing my students, including those with special needs, improve and succeed was the best part of my job. It showed me how important it is to believe in every student's potential.
My time as a teacher was all about making sure every student had the chance to learn and succeed, no matter where they came from or what challenges they faced. As I move forward, I'll always remember the impact education can have on changing lives.--
