Goal:CAREER GOAL My long term career goal is to become a professor of molecular biology and a community engaged physician-researcher with mixed qualitative-quantitative methods. I intend to have diverse portfolio of molecular biology, health research services related to improving care delivery and clinical outcomes for patients with cardiovascular/enteric diseases. The ultimate outcome of my career is to contribute in saving lives, influence lives/behaviors and clinical outcomes especially for that of vulnerable patients. While learning, schooling and being mentored by my lecturers I also identified the gaps in knowledge and skills that needs to be addressed as I move towards attaining the height. My short term goal is to close these gaps by enhancing my skills and understanding of each patient challenge and dyadic communication and patient/family experiences with care. Developing knowledge of the theoretical and practical application of molecular biology and nanotechnology. Gaining proficiency in qualitative research methods and analysis. Developing competency in planning, design, and execution of high quality clinical trials, involving behavioral interventions.
