Led a team of 15 Derivatives Specialists to manage the operations unit of a financial exchange.
The unit is responsible for managing systems to facilitate trading activities and operating the help-desk function. My area of responsibilities included working with cross-functional teams to launch new products & systems. Reviewing business cases, gathering and documenting business and operational requirements and designing test scopes and test cases were also integral to my work. As part of the implementation process, I was responsible for coordinating resources across different functions to plan and conduct dress rehearsals and develop migration and rollout plans. As part of the continuous effort to improve efficiencies of the unit, I led regular reviews of existing work processes to identify areas for standardization or automation. I also supported the planning, development and implementation of the Enterprise-wide Risk Management within Operations group as part of the organization's effort to manage critical risk areas. I formulated the emergency and contingency procedures for Operations to manage primary site failures and system outages.--
