Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Major:Chemistry
This was a four year degree program (although most people took 5 years or more due to the density of the curricula). I took longer than expected because I had to pay for my own degree. My high school scholarships were only enough to pay for my first year. Much of my work was chemistry lab experiments and writing lab reports. The later more advanced courses entailed writing your own mini-thesis, learning how to create organic and inorganic compounds in a lab setting and testing for them.
