Procurement related activities for Aguakan, a company dedicated to the extraction, distribution and treatment of water and wastewater in the city of Cancún, Mexico.
The job consisted in: Receiving and processing the needs of every area in the company, selecting a contractor through a selection process, writing the technical and legal terms of the contract, estimation checking and overseeing the payment of the contractors.
In addition of my core responsibilities I was part of the Health and Safety internal commission, which goal was to do internal audits to determine possible health and safety threats. Also, I served as translator (English/Spanish) and finally I was developing, in collaboration with other areas of the company a web-based application that would allow a better control over contractors by analyzing their performance, optimizing the selection process and allowing smarter decisions.
