Process Engineer 08/2022 - 06/2024
Worley, , United States
Chemical Engineer with over two years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specializing in process design, plant operations, and material science. Skilled in the execution of projects across the full lifecycle, from Pre-FEED to detailed design phases, with a proven track record of driving innovation and ensuring seamless execution.
During my tenure as a Process Engineer at Worley, I played a pivotal role in the design and implementation of two major projects that significantly enhanced production efficiency and quality standards. In the first project, I engineered a 120,000-ton/year PAO production facility using 1-Decene feedstock and a highly toxic BF3 catalyst, achieving 8,000 operating hours annually under cGMP and Lean Six Sigma standards. This involved close collaboration with international CAD teams to develop detailed PFDs, MSDs, and P&IDs, ensuring strict adherence to client specifications and regulatory requirements. Additionally, I generated critical datasheets and executed hydraulic reworks for PDNs and Change orders, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
The second project involved scaling up an AO Production facility, increasing production capacity from 425,000 tons to 1.05M tons/year through ethylene oligomerization and catalyzed olefin metathesis. This required comprehensive process designing, line sizing, and hydraulic calculations using advanced software tools like Macros Excel, HTRI, and PRO/II. I was instrumental in drafting detailed PFDs and P&IDs with Bluebeam Revu, identifying scope, and optimizing site utilities to streamline project execution. As a Scrum Master, I facilitated agile methodologies within the DevOps Scrum Board, ensuring seamless coordination and communication among team members. These experiences have sharpened my leadership skills and technical expertise, making me a valuable asset for future process engineering projects.
In addition to my process engineering duties, I also served as a Process Safety Engineer. I conducted thorough safety assessments and HAZOP studies to identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies. I was involved in designing and evaluating safety systems, such as relief devices and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.--
