Highlights:PAKISAMA acted as my thesis project output. It is a collaborative project with Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities from the Philippines (PH) that aims to increase disaster literacy and preparedness of Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC) through context-specific translations of Early Warning Systems (EWS) and emergency protocols for disasters as issued by national government agencies. I was the Project Manager (August 2016-May 2017) of PAKISAMA. My responsibilities included the following: 1. Managed from program design to execution, and monitoring and evaluation > reviewed related literature on disaster management and IP rights > consulted IP communities and civil society organizations for program design > triangulated information with the government and international frameworks 2. Created the Literacy and Translation Program design PH government agencies > reviewed the translation program with different IP and disaster management experts and community members from the Philippines > worked with a designer for the physical paraphernalia of the materials 3. Turned-over ALL materials to the Philippine government, IP civil society organizations, and partner IP communities, and trained them to use the package effectively

Goal:I am a recent graduate, and a health and development practitioner.
