Highlights:I am a medical doctor and a public health specialist with background and interest in HIV/AIDS programs; and the application of Continuous Quality Improvement principles in improving the quality of health-care services. Providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health in Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial stewardship activities implementation. I also provide direct technical assistance to the supported facilities.
I do provide technical assistance to MTaPS Country Director and Senior Technical Advisors in technical activities focusing on GHSA interventions in improving infection prevention and control (IPC), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS). I support in-country teams in the design and implementation of technical activities ensuring their adequate contribution to MTaPS results. I am also responsible for the implementation and evaluation of those designated field activities such as deployment of tools or implementation of facility and community based interventions. I provide technical support to program quality reviews, activity reporting, and knowledge management activities. As required,my other areas of work may include activities aimed at strengthening pharmaceutical systems, supply chain management or pharmaceutical services in developing countries.--

Achievements attained include; ? Revived and activated QI teams in 95 supported facilities in Mbeya/Songwe regions in a period of 2 years, which were inactive. ? Started QI teams in 25 supported facilities in Mbeya and Songwe, these facilities didn’t have any QI teams before. ? Successfully trained and maintained a database of 40 HIV/AIDS clinical mentors in Mbeya and Songwe regions. ? Together with colleagues at CQI department, improvement of Supportive Supervision feedback through establishment of a mobile supportive supervision tool. ? Established and sustained a smooth relationship with the R/CHMT authorities in Mbeya/Songwe regions and their districts. ? I as the medical officer at the Baylor pediatric HIV/AIDS Clinic
Achievements i attained in this position are -I provided education and mentor-ship in general and pediatric HIV/AIDS to more than 50 clinical attachees working in public health facilities in Mbeya; who were attending clinical attachment at Baylor Tanzania in small groups throughout my stay at Baylor clinic through general lectures and clinician shadowing. -I provided technical assistance in general and pediatric HIV/AIDS to health care workers at Ileje and Vwawa district hospitals, throughout my stay at Baylor clinic. -I attended at least 125 clients per week thorughout my stay at the clinic; mostly pediatric clients suffering from HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, TB and other common infectious diseases; including HIV-exposed infants and their mothers. -I actively participated in CME(continuous medical education) activities; and i conducted three sessions of CMEs on various topics during my stay at Baylor clinic. a -I was the first chairperson of the Quality Improvement team at Baylor clinic, and we had started implementing Q.I. initiatives (for the first time at the clinic) when i was leaving Baylor. -As a member of the resource mobilization team, i participated in the proposal writing of "Comprehensive Health Service Delivery" submitted for USAID funding. -I was also a member of TB infection control team at the clinic; and i contributed in rolling out TB control measures for staff and clients at the clinic.--
