Cross Border Missing Child Alert & Rescue System
(Responsibility: Overall architectural design as well as integration blueprint design)
This project was initiated by PLAN Bangladesh mainly focused on child trafficking Combat, Rehabilitation, Re-integration and Re-patriation. The whole program divided into two response systems:
Pro-active response system: Social awareness program (advertising through print, visual & internet media), training, develop child protection group.
Re-active response system: Missing child data capture, document docketing, data verification and integration with cross borders like Nepal and India. This is fully IT enabled system. Advocacy & knowledge management tool exist there.
The project was designed for adaptive life cycle process as progressively elaboration was the main concern. While designing the project, rather than technological challenges, the systems prime obstacles were the requirements finalization & defining proper stakeholder engagement & re-invent the power wheels & their authority levels.
Tools & Technology uses: Open Atrium for collaboration & knowledge management & internal communication , Jira for issue management, Visio for context diagram, MockFlow for wireframe & prototyping tool, SVN for version control, MSProject for scheduling, MySQL for database management, RTM tools for requirements management
Overall solution designed to web enabled enterprise platform. The stakeholders internal to the project were above 10000 and external to the project was the citizen of three countries. The duration of piloting the project was three years and the budget for IT enabled services was above USD50million. The overall project risk was high (lots of unknown-unknown events).--
