A social studies teacher in junior high school handling multiple social studies subjects for 10 years.
I am a full-time social studies teaching experience in Junior High teacher at Dr.Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School-Daga Extension for ten years. I have demonstrated my capabilities in these areas: ? Teaching multiple social studies classes such as history, economics, politics, current issues, gender and development, Asian studies, Philippine studies, cultural diversity and globalization (labor and migration) ? Provide quality, relevant, and engaging lessons that foster thinking, reasoning, problem solving skills as well as real-life application suited for learners’ diversity (i.e. respectful and interesting as well as multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate teaching strategies). ? Collaborate and maintain open communication with immediate supervisors, colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders in ensuring timely evaluation and feedbacking on the learner’s progress. ? Facilitate learning in a safe, positive and encouraging environment in order to develop learners’ cognitive, affective and social skills. ? Use assessments that cater to learners’ diversity and multiple intelligences such as diagnostic formative, summative and authentic (performance-based). ? Accomplish tasks with less supervision. ? Ensure that teaching strategies, pedagogies and methods are aligned with the national standards. ?
