Highlights:Developed an excel based ‘Dew point Analyser’ in accordance with British Standards 1339 for Submarines’ High Pressure Air system to improve safety and functionality of submarines. Executed two Design Change projects of budget £100,000 each addressing the safety and security issues in submarine. Designed a new locking mechanism for weapons stowage and redesigned existing shock mounts to decrease the risk of permanent damage to components. Designed and manufactured drive-train components for a formula challenge car during undergraduate study. The design was tested and used in the final design of the car. Working in a highly automated shift environment. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operational status of 13 GEO communication satellites. Sometimes operating in contingency situations requires the ability to deal with pressure in highly dynamic environment. In anomalous situations, I am required to perform manual and contingency commanding to recover the satellites back to its operational status.
• Responsible for ensuring that in-orbit satellites & associated Ground Control System are maintained in an operational status. • Monitor the satellites & ground-control system to verify operational status. • Detect and report anomalous conditions that could adversely affect operations. • Execute scheduled commands on spacecraft and GCS in accordance with standard procedure. • Take effective actions, within given procedures, guidelines or specific instructions, to eliminate or minimise the effect of anomalous conditions on the satellites and GCS. • Operate SCC equipment, I4S computer systems and GCS remote tools in accordance with procedures, work practices or user guides. • Working in a highly automated environment, supervision of executing automated & manual procedures • Support at the Backup SCC either as part of a scheduled or contingency operation for short or extended periods as required. • Assist spacecraft and flight dynamics analyst staff in investigations and data gathering in response to routine, anomalous or non-routine events on the satellites or GCS.
