Been working for almost 3 years as a Medical Technologist here in the Philippines.
? Responsibilities: ? Perform Laboratory examination and procedures with the supervision of the Chief Medical Technologist ? Act as lead worker, supervises and oversee the execution at daily operation ? Ensures continuous operation of all machines and coordination with the supplier for troubleshooting and regular maintenance ? Monitoring laboratory supplies, reagents and stock level to be reported to the Chief Medical Technologist ? Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques ? Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions by conducting blood group, type, and compatibility tests. ? Perform proper phlebotomy procedures as needed. ? Keep a good camaraderie with coworkers, patients, medical staffs including other people around the workplace. ? Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.--
