Highlights:Throughout my academic career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to scientific excellence, as evidenced by the publication of over 28 SCI-indexed papers in renowned journals. I have also had the opportunity to present my research findings at various international conferences and seminars including IAS, AAPG, GSA, etc. Notably, I was honored to receive the Outstanding Poster Paper Award during the 35th IAS Meeting of Sedimentology in Prague, Czech Republic, which recognizes the quality and significance of my research contributions. Additionally, I also received an International Travel Grant Award from the Geological Society of America for GSA Connects 2023 (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) to present my research work. My research experience has equipped me with a solid understanding of sedimentology, sedimentary geochemistry, mineralogy, and stratigraphy, which are essential skills for this position. My anticipated areas of research expertise include carbonate/clastic sedimentology, fine-grained sedimentology, paleoclimatology, basin analysis, depositional environments, sedimentary facies, and diagenesis. I possess a strong analytical skillset, including expertise in laboratory techniques such as Thin Section petrography, Cathodoluminescence (CL), SEM, FIB-SEM, Fluid Inclusion, Florescence microscopy, XRD, XRF, ICP-MS, TOC analysis, Nitrogen and CO2 Adsorption techniques, MICP, EMPA, and geochemical modeling. Beyond research, I am a highly motivated and collaborative team player, equipped with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I have actively engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations, working closely with colleagues from diverse scientific backgrounds to address complex geological problems and societal issues. I am also adept at presenting complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner to both scientific and non-scientific audiences. Moreover, I possess professional teaching experience. My teaching experience started when I completed my undergraduate studies. I served as a teaching research assistant at the Institute of Geology, University of the Punjab, Lahore-Pakistan for two years. During my studies at the China University of Petroleum East China, I have been a teaching and research assistant for more than three years. This experience involved grading, teaching, and developing laboratory experiments, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the progress of the undergraduate students’ senior projects, and conducting help sessions and guest lecture sessions in the absence of the instructor. I have been a teaching assistant for courses on sedimentology, stratigraphy, general geology, plate tectonics, reservoir geology, and mineralogy.

I am working as a postdoctoral research associate at the State Key Lab of Ore Deposit Geochemistry, Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Currently, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the State Key Laboratory of Ore Deposits Geochemistry, Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, I am working on the Zinc isotope fractionation in Cenozoic and Permian Phosphorites (a global perspective), which involves investigating the mechanisms and processes governing the isotopic composition of zinc in chemical sedimentary rocks. This research allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the geochemical cycling of zinc and its implications for environmental and geological processes. Additionally, I am also engaged in research on silicon geochemical cycling in Ediacaran Chert. This project aims to unravel the sources, transport processes, genesis of ore deposits in sedimentary basins, and depositional environments of silicon in ancient cherts, providing insights into Earth's paleoenvironmental conditions and biogeochemical cycles during the Ediacaran period.--
